Support
Helm108 is an SSH terminal for iPhone and iPad — run and steer your remote machines (and the AI coding agents on them) from anywhere.
Requirements
- iPhone or iPad running iOS / iPadOS 17 or later.
- An SSH server you can reach — a Mac, a Linux box, or any host with SSH enabled — and its login details.
Getting started
- Add a connection. Open the app and add a Session with your host, port, username, and password.
- Connect. Tap Connect — you get a full interactive terminal.
- Work in tabs. Open a second tab (••• → New Tab) to run more than one session at once — a long-running agent keeps streaming in one tab while you work in another.
Tips & common questions
- Insert a newline without submitting (multi-line input). Press Shift+Return on a hardware keyboard, or tap the newline button in the toolbar when using the on-screen keyboard.
- Move files between machines. Open ••• → Locker. Download a file from one host, switch to another host’s tab, and upload it. You can also bring in screenshots or files from your iPad with Locker → Add.
- Keep a session alive. Helm108 keeps the screen awake while connected. If iOS suspends the app, it reconnects when you return, and your on-screen history is preserved.
- Bring your own shell. Profiles let you deploy your Zsh setup — plugins and theme — to any host without changing that server’s own configuration.
