The short version

Helm108 does not collect, sell, or share your personal information.
Everything the app stores — your saved connections, credentials, staged files, and terminal history — stays on your device.
The only network connections Helm108 makes are the SSH connections you set up, directly to servers you choose. That traffic never passes through us.
There are no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, and no ads.

Helm108 is an SSH terminal app for iPhone and iPad, published by KinetiCode AI LLC (“we,” “us”). This policy explains how Helm108 handles your information. We operate no servers that receive your data, and the app contains no tracking of any kind.

What Helm108 stores on your device

The following is kept on your device only. None of it is transmitted to us or to any third party.

Connection credentials. Passwords for your saved SSH sessions are stored in the iOS Keychain, the system’s encrypted credential store.
Saved connections and profiles. The hosts, ports, usernames, and shell profiles you configure are saved locally on your device.
Locker files. Files you download from a host or import from Photos or Files are stored locally in the app’s Locker, protected by iOS Data Protection (encrypted at rest and tied to your device passcode).
Terminal history. A local log of your terminal output is kept on your device so you can review past sessions. Because a terminal can display sensitive output, this log may contain whatever appeared on your screen. It stays on your device and is never sent to us.

Data you send to your own servers

When you connect, Helm108 opens an SSH connection directly to the host you specify. The commands you type, the output you receive, and the files you upload or download travel between your device and your server over the encrypted SSH connection. We do not operate, see, route, or store any of that traffic.

Some optional features — such as the “portable shell” that can set up open-source Zsh plugins — instruct your server to fetch open-source software from public sources such as GitHub, over your own SSH session. That activity happens on your server, at your request; Helm108 collects nothing from it.

Photos and Files

When you import a screenshot or file into the Locker, Helm108 uses the standard iOS pickers. The Photos picker runs outside the app and hands Helm108 only the specific images you select — Helm108 is never granted access to your photo library. Files you import are ones you explicitly choose. Imported items stay in the on-device Locker unless you decide to upload them to one of your own servers.

No analytics, no tracking, no ads

Helm108 contains no analytics SDKs, no advertising, no crash-reporting services, and no third-party trackers. We do not build a profile of you, and there is nothing to opt out of.

Third-party software

Helm108 is built with open-source components, including SSH and terminal-emulation libraries. These run on your device as part of the app; they are not online services and do not receive your data. A complete list with licenses is available in the app under About → Licenses & Acknowledgments.

Security

Credentials are stored in the iOS Keychain.
Locker files are protected with iOS Data Protection (encrypted at rest).
All SSH traffic is encrypted in transit by the SSH protocol.

No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but Helm108 is designed so that your sensitive data stays under your control — on your device and your servers.

Children

Helm108 is a developer tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the effective date above and post the new version at this address.
